I'm home sick, I purged myself of breakfast this morning, Not a plesant affair given I was eating cereal full of grains and coconut. Lucky I made it to the toilet in time, I was at work when the sudden purging occured.

I'm now home, Bored and tired but there is so much damn noise here during the day I am finding it hard to sleep so I though and update might be in order.

My bodyshot pics are here, And posted on my Facebook page under 'Eight week challenge' The nude ones however are not posted due to obvious reasons. Everyone who has seen them has had such a positive reposnse, I love it.

I am dead broke at the moment, My car broke down last week, Setting me back $900 and My credit card is due which has my photo costs on it so I am working my usual hours and also cramming in more hours in hospo over the weekend. I thought about selling my body or soul to the devil but figured he wouldn't pay me enough to get out of the debit I am in :-(

I have listed a heap of stuff on Trademe to try and get yet more extra dosh in the account. Doing okay so far but really need the bidder to pick up the pack. A lot of stuff is selling for $1 and $2. Ah well, Thats the gamble you take.

Tane and I had a lovely weekend not long ago, It was our 'Date weekend' and he officially asked me to be his Girlfriend when we went for a walk along the beach. This time round our relationship is in another universe entirely compared to the past and I tell you, Everything I wanted in a partner magically implanted itself in Tane. I am not sure what happened when we split but I love it. We are both really really happy and things are racing along which is great.

Work is busy, Keeping me out of trouble. My injuries are still healing which is restricting my training :-( I am really keen for the Auckland half this year but I don't like my changes frankly :-(

We marked Johns passing a few weeks back now, I didn't get to ride up to Puhoi thanks to a wet winter. It was quite an emotional day for all.

Tane and a flat mate are moving in end of August, More $'s saved for me and it means Tane and I get to start our lives living together :-)

Any who, Time to see if lunch will stay down unlike breaky.

Hope you are all well.

Body Shots

Well, I have been flat out (I know, Same excuse as always)

The motorcycle ride only made it to Orewa before we had to turn back due to rain. Still trying to get up there. Hoping to go on the anniversary of Johns passing. He lives in Puhoi you see and he is burried there.

Tane and I did my Salsa challenge on the 14th June. It was awesome. We took and hour long class and learnt the basics. Lots of fun and a really good bonding thing for us :-) We are going to look at other dance styles and decide which we like best then start taking courses :-)

I decided it was time for a different look so I dyed my hair black with Purple highlights and I chopped about half of it off, Not in lenght, In thickness so now I have gloss black curls which I am loving :-)

On the 20th June I had my body shots - One of my eight week challenges, Nude Photographs. The morning was a bit of a mare when Tane and I accidentally gave the cat the wrong pill and had to race her to the vets. She is fine, Though she was WASTED all day. I went to my body shots (See http://www.bodyshots.co.nz/index.htm) and spent three hours having my photo's taken. My hair and make up was professionally done and then I was photographed in three different clothing styles. These are as follows:
1) Nude
2) Lingerie which we mixed up with a lovely purple jacket
3) Black and white strapless dress
4) Jeans and top (Casual)
5) Elegant - Corest and make shift satin skirt

I was quite nervous when I had my nude ones done but once I was into the groove of it, The session was awesome. The photo/ makes up/ meet and greet team were wonderful. I felt like a million dollars and I felt dead sexy after. I spent the rest of the week really excited about seeing the pics. Viewing was on Wednesday 23rd and WOW! The pictures are incredible. I ordered Far toooooooo many and spent a large fortune on the photo's. I wont have them for about another four weeks but I will post pics on FB when they are here. I do have one sneak peak of me with my make-up and hair done on FB for you to look at :-) I honestly recommend this to anyone. It was such a confidence booster :-)

Friday night we went and saw Transformers two. Wicked I tell you but possibly a bit too long.

Any who, I'll keep you posted about the pics.

Good day to you :-)

Okay, I have been slack, LikE SUPER slack.

Black water rafting: Was incredible. We started with a 37m descent into a huge cave but the scariest thing was the some what narrow throat we have to wriggle our way down through to get into the cave, All on a rope of course. We did a pitch black flying fox with no idea where we were going. We jumped in 8 degree water and mossied around while learning about the life of a glow worm. There tight squeezes and a few hairy moments but after about 2 hours we popped backj to the surface victorious :-)

Tongariro Crossing: Had to be cancelled due to A) Snow and Ice closing the track and B) Me being so sick with a head cold.

This weekend is the Motorcycle ride, I can't wait.

Hoping to trade the crossing in for the PInnacles which will be an overnighter :-)

Really cold here, Winter has sunk it's teeth in.

Any who, Back to my home made pizza!
Ah ha! I did it, Yes, I did 3 hours of high ropes course to blast away my fear of heights. It was a hell of a lot of fun and quite full on though we did not complete the highest course, I will be back to conquer it though, Have no fear. We did courses 1 - 8 out of a possible 9 but the last few courses left us completely stuffed. The first 4 we not so challenging but the last four certainly pushed the limits and the last one was physically demanding but all in all it was a great time.

Check out the course at:

http://treeadventures.co.nz/

Tips for Tongue piercings

Yesterday I looked at what can make your tongue piercing heal faster and less painful. I found the following tips:

1) Nurofen/ Ibrufen - This is a pure god-sent! Reduced the swelling and no pain. I can finally chew and Swallow! (mind OUT of the gutters ph-lease)

2) Avoid hot meals and drinks, Temperature and spicy wise - Why? the hot temperature increases blood flow and the spicy food will irritate it

3) Try and keep your head raised when resting - I did this for 1/2 the night then I got uncomfortable but the half my head was up, I didn't even notice my tongue. The elevation reduces swelling and prevents blood pooling in the head

4) Cold Drink and Ice Blocks (Don't have to tell me twice ;-) ) Not only a great excuse to eat all the sugar rich ice blocks your heart desires, but the coolness again reduces swelling

5) Rinse with salt water mix after you eat. This ensure you clean away all left over bits which I tell you irrtate the heck out of you if they get under the ball on the bar. Plus the saline solution encourages healing whilst leaving the good bacteria in your mouth (It's advised to avoid using mouth wash as they stip away the good bacteria and can prolong healing time)

So today I have found it much easier to speak. I can eat solid food, Though I am careful what I choose to eat. The swelling has noticeable reduced and so long as I keep on the pain killers, The pain is kept to a minimum.

Nice work I say!

I sound like a spastic

Yep, That's right, I have a kick arse Lisp thing going on and talking is a HUGE effort requiring concentration and forethought. Who ever through speech would be so difficult Hahahaha. Why you may be asking? I got my tongue pierced on Sunday, Something I have wanted to do for years now. Something I'll probably never do again if I ever have to take this one out. I would have to rank it as one of, if not THE most painfull piercing I have ever had done. Not so much the piercing of the tongue but the aftermath.

It wasn't a good experience from the very beginning. I couldn't get hold of my regular (Well, My preferred) piercer so I opted for another location I had never used before. (Mistake #1). A young lady took the honour and I should have backed out when I first sat down. The guy at the desk was a grumpy old Prick. The piercing area (Floor, Sink, Walls) was messy and poorly maintained. The gear was all sterile which was a huge positive but I was sadly let down by the place as a whole. They didn't take any other form of Payment other than CASH and no one thought to tell us this, All we noticed was a small sign up on the computer advertising the fact.

Any who, Nic got her Belly Button done and there were things that should have been done differently here but that's Nic's story, Not mine. I was second in the hot seat. The lady proceeded to pierce my tongue but she didn't use clamps to hold my tongue, She used her fingers to hold on. Naturally when the needle went in my tongue pulled back and with ME pushing my tongue out the muscle was engaged, Meaning it was a heap harder to pierce than a relaxed tongue so the needle didn't get all the way through. So, She keeps telling me to poke my tongue out - Needle part way through, My tongue is out as far as it can go and she keeps pushing this damn needle through and it takes forever. Then she says 'Oh shit' and I'm thinking "Damn it woman, Just shove the darn thing through!'. She keeps trying and I swear (only the second time ever that I have sworn during a peircing) then FINALLY the needle pops through. Blood and dribble everywhere. Me about to pass out, And I am sure I was in shock. I think (Because I'll be buggered if I was going to keep count) it took about 4 or 5 attempts to get the needle all the way through. After all that Saga, The barbell was put in. No care instructions were given to us, Just a verbal 'Rinse it with salt water and you'll be fine'. I was also informed there would be no food restrictions - Ha, My Ass. Baby food is my friend. Ice and cold water too. Avoid anything that is hot, Tea, Soup, Curry etc. No solids for about 5 days. Swelling is kick arse and I talk like a special needs kid. Gotta love it. Having said that all though, I love the look, Can't wait till it is healed but seriously, Never going there again! In future, Ballistics all the way!

Totally totally awesome weekend!
The weather was mint, Like 32 degrees mint. Sun baked with a lovely breeze at just the right times. The Lake water was beautiful, Not too cold and not so warm. Had an excellent time. The company was varied, As always, but an absolute pleasure to be around :-)
Here is the low down, It quick 'I have work to do' terms:

Friday: Left @ 4.30pm Good run down with dinner on the way. Quick intros then off to bed

Saturday: I chilled ALL day, I did shuttle bunny for the two river runs, Set up my tent. Read my book and RELAXED. Something I really enjoyed for a change Lol

Sunday: A group of us did a river run 1st up. Chilled during the heat of the day - Taking a dip to cool off. Spent part of the Arvo out Wake boarding. I had a go and I was impressed with my beginner efforts. I tell you though, All new muscles and they are aching like crazy at the mo. Went for a short mountain bike then did dinner and for me a very early night due to my lower back giving me a bit of grief.

Monday: River run 1st up again - Both runs were dry runs for me, And I have started to pick my lines with out too much help and also started to notice the river, It's hazards and how to work with the flow to minimise effort. Mitchel did a Mint as seal launch (His 1st one) and managed to hand roll when dave chucked him over. Impressive for a young lad! We then packed up, Headed off. Dave, Nic, Bob & greg went for a mountain bike then we headed back to Aucks, Arriving at 8pm on the dot. I unpacked, Showered (As blessed shower!) and slept like a baby!

Still very sore but LOVED the weekend.

I started a swear jar for me to A) Curb my potty mouth and B) To fund my next piercing and tattoo. Mint!

Any who, Work to do. Chat later.

PS: How have you all been, Posts seem to be dwindling now. Is this due to the FB addition?

Sarah & Davids wedding was amazing! The weather was absolutely stunning. The Bride took my breath away and the whole ceremony and reception ran like a dream> Sarah's organising was second to none (She is a teacher after all ;-) ) and the whole day was a huge success. I was beaming from ear to ear during the whole ceremony as I watched one of my best friends, A friend of more than 11 years, marry her soul mate.

It has given me a lot to think about though. I am certainly ready to settle down. I am with out a doubt getting married, The giving of yourself to another person for the rest of your life is incredible and I am totally signing up for that. That kind of commitment is the ultimate and I can thinking of nothing more precious and incredible to have and share with another human being.. Definitely for me I say.

Pics are posted on FB. Well worth a look. Everyone looked amazing. Even me for a change Lol. Can't wait for the professional pics which were a tonne of fun :-P Plenty of running (In heels), Jumping, Spinning and being picked up Lol

In other news, life is GREAT. I love the new year and all it has offered me so far :-) Work is going really well. Happy Happy Happy.

Asked Tane to if he would like to move in. I am thinking he is going to say No but I will see. I have given him a few weeks to think about it.

Any who, Back to work :-P

Yah, It's 2009 finally and boy am I ever super duper happy that this year is finally here :-D

So, A catch up:
Sarah is getting married on the 17th, I have action packed weeks up to the wedding day. Being one of 3 bridesmaids is super awesome. I have make up and hair trials tonight, Final dress fitting was on Tuesday, Hens day/ night on Saturday, Hair colour and nails done next week, Rehearsal on thursday and the big day itself. It's all quite exciting :-)

I am getting used to my contacts finally. Air Con is still cause me some prob's but I am really liking the ability to wear sun glasses, Especially with the stunning weather the way it is at the moment.

Today makes 6 months since Johns passing and as coincidence would have it, Mum handed me his watch to keep and wear and we also had a meeting with his care facility RE: a doctors negligence leading to Johns sudden passing. It is looking positive for the doctor to be reprimanded and hopefully this will ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.

Tane and I are doing well, We both have NY's goals and targets so that hopefully will keep us focused for the year :-)

Another friend of mine is engaged (Congrat's Mat and Nats) - everyone seems to be growing up and getting engaged, married, buying houses and having babies... Wonder when it will be my turn :-P

Hope you are all well and had a super fab NY's

Sadly we found out the news that an old friends of ours passed away from Cancer in September. I have begun my New Years 'clean'... Oh Superstition. Not too sure what I am doing for New Years.
Sorry sorry sorry, I have been incredibly busy... For a change ;-)

Work is going well, New contract working out really well. My former boss STILL hasn't paid me the 5k he owes. Baycorp want a 25% cut if I get them to pursue the debt and the courts are telling me I can't lodge it with them! This is quite frankly bullshit.

Gym is going well, Been out biking a heap too which is good. Woodhill is becoming a favourite of mine.

Xmas fast approaching. Presents have been made and just need wrapping.

I went to a numerology seminar on Friday, the guy holding it used me as an example for the year number and this year has come up as a 9 which is the number for endings. He indicated that this year (2008) has most likely been a hard year with relationships ending, people dying, financial difficulties, jobs ending etc... (Tick, Tick, Tick & tick) but told me to rest assured next year is a 1 year with new beginnings, new hope and new opportunities. Wahoo!

Any who, I am going to go home now and take a nice long soak in the bath. My body is achy from the activites of the past few days (PT session, Tunnel bike ride & yoga you dirty minded people!)

Well, I am sure most of you know, I have resigned from Fusion Hospo. I have worked here for 8+ years and the parting terms have not been particularly nice at all. I gave a finish date of the 7th November but it looks like I will be departing earlier since there will be little or no work for me to do after this week. I am not sad, Pissed with how it has been handled, but certainly not sad. In fact, I am so happy that this shitty piece of my life which has been bring both myself and my mum down for the past few years will finally draw to a close and we can open a new chapter. We are hoping to move the office this weekend to my downstairs area and start up our company properly. We will take on new clients and build the business tot he point where we can actually have a holiday without having to time it. It will be hard to start with and a challenge through out but I really am looking forward to it. So I cheers to life, Bring on this new chapter and let the angels be graceful enough to bathe us in success and guide us all the way :-)

Plus est en vous

Work has been AWFUL... Full of lies, Arguments, tears, hair pulling and uncomfortable conversations. Mum and I have decided to move our company into an office space and to work for ourselves. We have offered to continue to do a watered down version of what we do now, Minus all the shit stuff like staff management, cash flow and account payments. My boss is in over his head. He has been for a while and we have been crying out for help but they have been deaf to our cries so after 9 odd years of loyalty I am quite happy to cut all ties and move to a happier, less stressful and easier working future. Having said that. I would also gladly do the water down version, Where the accountant deals with all the cash flow problems and the GM handles all the idiot staff and where myself and my mum work a 9-5 job, With no weekend on call work or stupid saga's that seem to plague our weekends. We will be moving at the end of November. It is a huge (But much wanted) step and I really can't wait.

This weekend is a long weekend and Tane and I are going to stay at a Marae in Ruatoki, Hawkes bay. I have never been to this area and I am really looking forward to it. Though I am a little nervous. I will be meeting Tane's extended family and I will be the Token white chick for the weekend :S

Heaps has been going on and I really can't be assed to note anymore down. Nothing really significant. I'll try to post more. :-)

Oh, I had an IUD put in, Turns out the Pill was what making me so depressed. I feel much better now.
